I’m Destined For Greatness But My Brain Is On Fire is an album that has been in the works since 2021. During the release of my first two Hardcore Punk EPs, I bought a house and created a home studio coined “The Green Room”. It was here I could finally record and listen properly to my music. When I finally found the time again, I started writing what would become the songs for Brain On Fire.

I’m Destined For Greatness But My Brain Is On Fire is about the way we waste our potential. How our lives are dictated to keep us where we are and to never allow us break out of it. We’re all destined for greatness but its hard to see passed the smoke sometimes. We are constantly being distracted and thats why our collective brain is on fire. Our generation is constantly being pulled into many different directions from out of touch confidently incorrect folks who have no idea what they’re talking about or what we’re going through. But most of all, the album is about trying. Trying to succeed and getting used to failure and knowing one day it’ll pay off.

These songs are dedicated to anyone who feels like they’re stuck in the depression they are feeling at this very moment. It’s for the people who are making big life changes but still feel like you’re not fulfilling your purpose. I wrote these songs in a state of transition adjusting to my new living situation and feeling like it was the best time of my life but I was still feeling depressed and I had no idea why. When I listen to these songs I feel proud to have grown out of what I was feeling. Everything you’re experiencing right now has bigger plans for you even if it’s what’s keeping you down. My adjustment period made me stronger. It kept me motivated and helped me eventually finish this record. I believe in you and I hope wherever you are in life, you can listen to these songs and see yourself. Keep trying to make your dreams come true no matter how many people are in your corner. Do what you care about and truly fucking care about it even if your brain is on fire.
